Hey, I’m Dr. Jennifer

Today I help families transform their children's futures, but it wasn't always my path...

I thought I'd be a "typical" chiropractor helping adults with back pain and headaches. That was the plan when I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2018. I knew chiropractic worked - I'd been adjusted since birth after being born with a broken collar bone - but I hadn't found my true calling yet.

Then I started seeing the kids in my family struggle. My nephew needing speech therapy, battling emotional meltdowns that seemed too big for his little body. My other nephew getting constant headaches, throwing up after meals because of sensory overwhelm. My sister's learning challenges that traced back to never crawling as a baby.

I kept thinking: "There has to be more we can do than just wait and see if they grow out of it." Traditional medicine kept saying these were separate issues, normal developmental variations, or problems that time would solve. But I was watching these amazing kids suffer while everyone around them felt helpless.

That's when everything changed for me.

Everything clicked when I discovered Dr. Amy Spoelstra's work with brain development and the nervous system. For the first time, someone was connecting the dots between birth experiences, early development, and the challenges I was seeing in the kids I loved.

When Dr. Spoelstra explained how the nervous system develops from the bottom up, back to front, and how early stress patterns can create lasting impacts on behavior, learning, and health - suddenly it all made sense. My nephew's meltdowns weren't defiance, they were nervous system overwhelm. My sister's learning struggles weren't laziness, they were developmental patterns that could be supported.

I became FOCUS certified and dove deep into understanding how gentle, specific chiropractic care can support optimal nervous system development. Now I use brain-based examinations, neurological scans, and developmental assessments to help families understand the "why" behind their child's struggles.

The transformation I've seen in families - including my own - is what drives me every single day. When parents finally understand their child isn't broken or difficult, but simply needs their nervous system supported in the right way, everything changes. That's what I want for every Temecula family walking through our doors.
